The Camel

We started our study of the Hebrew letter Gimel this week; which means The Camel. Interesting how the rising of a camel from its' knees represents something benefited or lifted up. Scripture really does take a deeper meaning when we study the Biblical literalism of God's Word to us.

Gimel, The Camel
The letter Gimel is used in the Hebrew words for: Foreigner, Rebuke, Pride, Redeem, Benefit.

Psalm 119:17-24
Deal bountifully with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word.
Open my eyes, that I may see
Wonderous things from Your law.
I am a stranger in the earth;
Do not hide Your commandments from me.
My soul breaks with longing
For Your judgements at all times.
You rebuke the proud - the cursed,
Who stray from Your commandments.
Remove from me reproach and contempt,
For I have kept Your testimonies.
Princes also sit and speak against me,
But Your servant meditates on Your statutes.
Your testimonies also are my delight;
And my counselors.

Each of the verses in the third stanza of Psalm 119 starts with the letter Gimel. Because the letter Gimel means to lift up, or reward and can symbolize a lifting up, in pride, revelation or exaltation, these eight verses tell us that it is God who will lift us up in either reward or rebuke. Those who understand this truth will turn to God and His word.

More of You
by Olga Savitsky

More of You
Less of us
We have to have more
More than more of You
All we want is ALL
All of You
All we want is ALL of You...and then
some more
All we want is ALL of You in all our
hearts
All we want is ALL of You in all our
minds
All we want is ALL of You in all our
wills
All we want is ALL of You in all our
strengths
All we want is ALL of You in all our
emotions
Enough of us
ALL of You
We would like to do the dance of the
"Well done!"
But all we can do is the dance of
the undone
We are Undone
Undone by the Jasper Jesus
Undone by the Sardis Son
Undone by the Emerald Eternity
We are Undone
By What You have Done
Enough of us
ALL of You
All we want is ALL of You...and then
Much More.
